The Crazy Sisters

All three of us were born and raised in rural Minnesota. We do have a brother. Actually, he is the oldest. He likes to be referred to as "the boss". We just let him think that. Growing up in the country was a great way of life for all of us. May we add we were raised on a working farm. Our dad farmed and had dairy cows among other things. Hindsight being 20/20, there should have been two rules taught to us. The first one we somehow automatically knew. Never say you are bored. The second rule being never show how capable you are of doing good job. It will be yours forever. This insight was learned too late.

We also had an interesting twist to farm life. Our dad referred to it as a hobby. Among traditional animals on a farm, we also tended to bears, bobcats, buffalo, fox, lamas, deer, wolves, coyotes, etc. Just about everyone had a name, from Ben and Sally, the bears, to every fawn born named Bambi. Needless to say Bambi lived forever. Other than that, we had a somewhat typical farm life. We also decided that our hay bailing days have long since been over. As much as we loved country life, there are some things we don't miss. As the years went by, we acquired husbands, kids and yes, grandkids. The years have been busy as like any other family with newborns, weddings, and everything in between.

Throughout the years, we have come to acknowledge that we carry the same personality traits. What they are we're not quite sure, but words like drive, challenge, creative, and yes fun come to mind. Through the years and over many conversations of off the wall ideas, we have decided to act upon the idea of "why not?" We came together two years ago when we decided to do a barn sale. We had always been fond of antiques and vintage and the days gone by. We have held two barn sales a year since then and have added a few new items, from candles and purses to coffees and a Crazy Sisters Cookbook. What's next on the list? Who knows but we will keep you posted.
